S#6.) The Dreaded moment had come for me today, A kings visit made all speculate and play.  Inward i knew why he had come and now 10 feet away the waiting was done. My Husband steps forward to greet his king, they both look to me and introductions begin. “Dear Serenity, i finally meet Roy’s wife, you will dine next to me tonight, my curiosity is peeked at your recent plight” ‘ Of course your majesty, glad to oblige’, the smile did not quite reach my eyes.

So in we go to take our place. I see great strength in this man’s face, as proud and noble a vampire is he, my worries unfounded, he can’t be scared of me, and then he startled me out of my revere, by saying “a fitting name for gifts such as yours my dear” I search for signs to distrust, search for the right response i must!, ‘Yes’ the whispered word escapes my lips, vulnerable, oh no i’m doomed..The King breaks into a roarous laugh. All eyes turn, everyone in tune. He asks “So who is susceptible to your lovely gifts, Humans, werewolves, Vampires maybe chimps?”. The dining room hums “All my Lord”. “All? and how many can that transpire” “as many so far that i desire. The room hums again with intrigue.

“I Think it’s time for some party Tricks” the king declares “ Serenity a demo if you please” Scared if i could tune out the king in my thoughts, don’t focus too hard, find a way to cut the group in half. All those eyes on me shining brightly, i close mine, let my power flow lightly, don’t look at anyone maybe i’ll only affect a few, but when to room becomes death silence, in my gut i knew. I open my eyes, dismay all asleep, the king rests vulnerable to me.

Decision made i wake only him. He wakes grabs me , astonishment on his face “ You dare attack your King!” “Please no my Lord, i did not want to”, i say,” i prayed i did not affect you all this way”. Surprised his eyes assess the room, Vampire nobility all resting in their food.  He smiled. 

“There’s humour in this in a way, our secret it must be, that your king was not affected today, and an agreement you must meet, if my protection you wish to keep. Now Wake the room for me please, this party’s going to be lots of fun for you and me.”
